The Mul-T-Lock range of Break Secure Cylinders  are specifically designed to combat the growing threat of unauthorised entry whereby the criminals snap the Euro-Profile style cylinder commonly fitted to most uPVC and Patio doors.

To combat this growing problem Mul-T-Lock have designed the Break Secure Cylinder range, which although the cylinder will still snap, it will snap in a predetermined position leaving intact a portion of the cylinder that will still provide security and still allow the original key to open the cylinder, thus preventing the easy manipulating of the locking system.

This threat can easily be considerably reduced simply by upgrading the cylinder to one that is specifically designed to prevent this method of attack, leaving your property secure. 

   

AFS recommends that all vulnerable doors using Euro-Profile cylinders be upgraded to incorporate Mul-T-Lock Break Secure Cylinders.

 

An increased range of Mul-T-Lock Break Secure cylinder sizes will be available in April/May, including more offset sizes.

Break-ins involving doors fitted with euro-cylinders are on the increase and constant demands from victims and crime reduction authorities for a solution have been met with the introduction of the Squire Stronghold^® Snapsafe^TM cylinder.

Our design team came up with a simple modification to a standard cylinder. This realistically accepts that a cylinder, when subjected to a physical attack, can break but that it should break without nullifying its security. As the name suggests it snaps safe.

As the illustration shows the cylinder will snap at a pre-selected position leaving an in-built security zone inside the door furniture of the door with at least three active pin chambers. The would be thief is now faced with taking more time to pick the lock and invariably will give up. In most instances, even after the attack, the key holder will still be able to open the lock.

The Snapsafe^TM security cylinder is available on all lengths including single, doubles and thumbturn, and in all three ranges Standard, Restricted and Protected.
